I componenti elettronici Sowden sono gli elementi fondamentali della lampada, poiché producono autonomamente la luce. Il mio lavoro è stato quello di creare la struttura su cui disporre le varie parti. Per questo, ho utilizzato ciò che avevo già: una tavola di acero, acquistata come scarto da un fornitore di legno per strumenti musicali, e della carta. Data la natura dei materiali e l'accesso limitato ai macchinari, una forma cubica è diventata rapidamente la scelta ovvia. Ho quindi semplicemente cercato la costruzione più semplice possibile, con l'idea di creare una lampada che avesse una presenza discreta ma rassicurante.
Sowden electronic components are the fundamental parts of the lamp, as they produce light autonomously. My task was to create the structure on which to arrange the different parts. To do this, I would use what I already had: a small maple board, purchased as scrap from a supplier of wood for musical instruments, and paper. Due to the nature of the materials and limited access to machines, the cubic shape quickly became the obvious choice. I then simply looked for the simplest possible construction, with the idea of creating a lamp that would have a discreet but comforting presence.
