Our move from high-voltage 240V to low-voltage 5V power brings about important changes in safety, efficiency and application.
By designing our lighting system around 5V USB power, we created a platform that combines everyday safety, portability and long-term serviceability.

Developing a low-voltage lighting system required more than replacing a conventional light bulb.
We designed our own family of LED light sources — the Sowden LED Disc 01, LED Disc 02 and LED Tube 01 — developed specifically for our products and capable of delivering up to 1000 lumens.
Professional rechargeable batteries.
Our lamps use high-quality Li-ion batteries developed together with our manufacturing partner.
They are replaceable, rechargeable and designed to provide reliable performance over many years.
