I miei progetti nascono dalla ricerca sui materiali e sui processi produttivi; il tema è
la monomaterialità e la possibilità di scomporre facilmente i materiali in modo che possano essere rigenerati.
L’uso delle polveri è un esempio di ricomposizione dei materiali: la polvere è l’origine, l’inizio di ogni trasformazione.
DustLight 1 nasce così dal rapporto tra un nuovo materiale e la tecnologia Sowden:
l’imperfezione e l’imprevisto incontrano la precisione tecnologica della lampadina.
DustLight 1 utilizza polveri riciclate colate in stampi: 1 perché è il primo prototipo
dedicato alla polvere di vetro. Il risultato è una forma in cui struttura e diffusore
coincidono: compatta e resistente, porta con sé la memoria di ciò che un tempo era
scarto e la possibilità di rigenerarsi in luce.
My projects stem from research into materials and production processes; the theme is monomateriality and the possibility of easily breaking down materials so that they can be regenerated.
The use of powders is an example of material recomposition: dust is the origin, the
beginning of every transformation.
DustLight 1 was born from the relationship between a new material and Sowden
technology: imperfection and the unexpected meet the technological precision of the light bulb.
DustLight 1 uses recycled powders cast in moulds: 1 because it is the first prototype
dedicated to glass powder. The result is a shape in which structure and diffuser
coincide: compact and resistant, it carries with it the memory of what was once
waste and the possibility of regenerating itself into light.
Materials:
Vetro riciclato al 100% legato con matrice polimerica contenente
una percentuale di componenti bio derivati da fonti rinnovabili. Questa
formulazione unica garantisce elevate prestazioni meccaniche, resistenza
all’usura e durata.
100% recycled glass bound with polymeric matrix containing a
percentage of bio-based components derived from renewable sources.
This unique formulation provides high mechanical performance, wear
resistance and durability.
